Where to Buy Clothes for a Photoshoot
During consultations at my studio, one of the most frequently asked question I receive from my clients is where to buy clothes for a photoshoot. The beauty of my full-service studio is that you don’t need to buy anything new! Styling your session is something I’m happy to help you with. I have a fully stocked studio wardrobe that all my clients are able to choose clothes from for their shoot. It features a variety of coordinating outfits from my favorite shops and boutiques in multiple sizes and colors. The wardrobe is here for you as an option to help simplify the process but is not a necessity.
Selecting clothes for a photoshoot is an important part of the photoshoot process. The right clothes with the right color palette creates cohesion throughout the shoot by flattering your body and connecting you and your family to your backdrop or location. Sometimes it can be hard to find clothes for a photoshoot, especially online, that you know will photograph well. I can always count on these shops to deliver beautifully photogenic, stylish, flattering options when it comes to where to buy clothes for a photoshoot.
My Favorite Shops to Buy Clothes for a Photoshoot
Free People is always the place I find the most unique fun pieces for my client closet. Their clothing is on the pricier side, but worth the splurge! I also love that I can head to the mall to see and try on Free People clothing items before buying. The selection in store is more limited than their vast selection on their website but it’s nice to get an idea of how the brand fits before buying. Free people is available in Nordstroms and Macy’s.
Joyfolie dresses occupy the majority of my studio wardrobe. They have such stunning items that look amazing on all body types that make them the perfect place to buy clothes for a photoshoot. Another plus of Joyfolie is that they have little girls dresses too! If you have a little girl that needs a dress too, look no further than Joyfolie.
Vici is a shop that I love because of its variety. It has something for every style. They have such a large selection of dresses, cardigans, rompers, and jumpsuits which are always my go tos for buying clothes for a photoshoot. I have a handful of dresses from Vici in my studio wardrobe and have been very impressed with the quality. Their clothes also seem to run true to size which is helpful to know when ordering.
