It is so insanely easy to get caught up in all things motherhood and not document life with YOU as a huge part. The amount of moms I know with full camera rolls of their kids and their kids with their spouse or partner and their kids with grandparents and their kids with their friends and the list goes on and on. If you’re like me, you probably even have a few horribly unflattering selfies with your little ones and/or photos your well meaning kids took of you where you are half dressed and blinking.

As moms we deserve SO much more than a blurry half photo with our kids just sitting on a phone somewhere. We put our bodies and mental health through some of the harshest circumstances for our babies. We push ourselves to the limit with lack of sleep. We give and give and give and STILL question if we are good enough or did enough for our kids. We tell ourselves we WILL make documenting these precious, fleeting times a priority, but then life happens. We feel overwhelmed by the process and wonder how we can fit one more thing into our already hectic schedules. We say we will wait until we lose the baby weight, or our hair starts repairing after postpartum loss, or our kids are easier to work with, or or or or……
